VIII edizione Giornate di studio sulla popolazione

The 8^th edition of the Popdays (Giornate di Studio sulla Popolazione) were held in Milano, 2-4 february 2009. The conference was hosted by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.
The program comprises parallel scientific session, poster session and three plenary sessions. The introductive plenary session focused on the following topic: “The Chinese way to the demographic transition” with Patrizia Farina as a keynote speaker. An international plenary session “New living arrangements: the French experience” was organized together with the INED, Paris. Keynote speaker: France Prioux, discussant Alessandra De Rose. In the closing plenary session, Fausta Ongaro and silvana Salvini presented the second report on the Italian Population – Rapporto sulla popolazione 2009. Salute e sopravvivenza. )

During the conference, the General assembly took place with a speech of the President of the AISP Fausta Ongaro.
