The Giornate di Studio sulla Popolazione (Population Days), held every two years, is one of the most important initiatives of the Italian Association for the Study of Population (Sis-Aisp). On that occasion, Italian and international leading experts and scholars, mainly from academia, the National Institute of Statistics (Istat) and other national and governmental agencies, come together to present completed, planned, and ongoing research and to provide an opportunity for comparison across a broad overview of the issues currently debated about population and society. Conferences are based on parallel sessions, which in later editions have received 150 voluntary contributions of more than 25 subject areas.

CONFERENCE AND SOCIAL MEETING LOCATIONS

The Population Days 2017 (the 12^th edition) will be held in the city center of Florence, February 8-10. You can check here the map of the conference and social meeting locations. All meeting venues are close to the railway station and to the major Florentine monuments and historical sites. A bus service is also available.

The main venue of the Conference (registration desk, first plenary session, parallel sessions, general assembly) will be located in the rooms of Via Gino Capponi 9, one of the locations of the University of Florence in the city center.

The Welcome cocktail (Wednesday 8^th) will be offered in the Salone delle Compagnie, Istituto degli Innocenti, in Piazza Santissima Annunziata 12. Before the cocktail party, we are glad to invite you for a guided tour to the Museo degli Innocenti.

The social dinner (Thursday 9^th) will take place at Palazzo Borghese, Via Ghibellina 110/N.

REGISTRATION FEES

All presenters at PopDays2017 must be AISP members!

A)     If you are an AISP member with membership fees regularly paid up to 2016 included, you can register directly on the conference website: your registration to the conference will include your AISP membership for the year 2017.

B)      If you are an AISP member, but you are late with your membership fees, please click HERE before registration to settle the payment for previous years (2016 or before).

C)      If you are not an AISP member, you must do two things. First, fill the APPLICATION FORM, which you may find on the AISP website http://www.sis-aisp.it/membership/, and send it to the Association secretariat (mail: segreteria@sis-aisp.it). Then register to the conference website: your 2017 AISP membership fee will be included in your registration to the conference.

Before December 31st:

• 130€ for SIS member
• 140€ for no-SIS member
• 90€ for junior research or students

After December 31st:

• 160€ for SIS member
• 170€ for no-SIS member
• 100€ for junior research or students
