Assistant Professor in Demography at the University of Naples Federico II.
His main research topics focus on international migration and demographic behavior of migrant groups. His interests concern: a) to analyze the dynamics of immigrant populations in Europe, in Italy and its regions; b) to measure and compare family formation and reproductive behavior of autochthonous and immigrants, according to their different origins; c) to evaluate and explore the different levels of integration, in order to individuate intervention policies at international, national and local levels. The adding research topics focus on: labor market, family behaviors, union formation, fertility levels and determinants, second generations, transnational couples.
He is author and co-author of several research articles, book chapters and conference proceedings published in Italy and abroad. He published on international journals such as: European Journal of Population, Demographic Research, Genus, Population Review, Cahiers québécois de démographie, International Migration, Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Journal of Population Research.
He is referee of Population Research and Policy Review, European Journal of Population, Genus, Polis and Review of Economics of the Household.
