Annalisa Busetta is associate professor of Demography at the Department of Economics, Business and Statistics of the University of Palermo. Her recent research focuses on the presence of foreigners in informal settlements, on health conditions and health needs of foreigners and on vulnerability and integration of immigrants and refugees. She also studied indicators and longitudinal methods for studies on poverty, low fertility and late transition to adulthood, population aging and depopulation in shrinking regions. Since 2005 she has been teaching demography at the Undergraduate and Master level.
